If you’ve owned a horse in Watauga County, or surrounding areas, in the last 40 years, chances are, Joe White Farrier Services has been there.
Rain, snow, mud—he’s shown up, single-handedly keeping the horses of this region sound, moving, and well cared for. Joe doesn’t ask for help, cut corners, and will never turn his back on a horse in need. He has a way with horses that can’t be taught and a work ethic that never quits.
Now, as of 2025, Joe is facing health challenges and he requires surgery. The cost is high, and while he’d never ask for help, he will not face this alone. It’s our turn to show up for him the way he’s always shown up for us.
